How to Apply - Required Connected Devices

In order to use FLET'S Hikari Premium, a dedicated optical fiber connected device is required. Please check and prepare it.
Items Prepared by the Customer
- LAN cable (100BASE-TX cable)
- This cable is required in order to connect your computer to the customer network terminating unit (CTU).
- LAN board or LAN card
- Required if your PC is not equipped with a 100BASE-TX interface.
- * A 10BASE-T interface can also be used, but the maximum transmission speed is 10 Mbps.
- 3 or more power sockets
- To use the service and install the ONU, CTU, and Hikari Denwa VoIP adapter, in addition to the power socket for the Internet connection terminal equipment (e.g. PC), you will need 3 or more power sockets*.
Additionally, since the power adapters are relatively large, when purchasing a power strip, select one with more sockets than actually required. - * If not using "Hikari Denwa", prepare a power strip with 2 or more sockets.
- * NTT West recommends a power strip with surge protection.
Items Provided by Your NTT West Installation Technician after Applying
- Startup CD-ROM & Setup Manual
- A connection tool to setup the necessary environment on a PC in order to use FLET'S Hikari Premium. After delivery, you will install this on your computer yourself.
- * Only 1 startup CD-ROM (1 license) is mailed for a single contract.
- * Only guaranteed to operate on a Japanese language operating system. Be aware that it may not operate on an operating system in languages other than Japanese.

Family Type
Optical Network Unit (ONU)
This device converts the signal from the optical fiber into a 100BASE-TX Ethernet signal. The optical network unit requires 100 VAC power source.
Customer Network Terminating Unit (CTU)
This device terminates the line and sets the necessary information for IPv6 network communications. 100 VAC power source is required.
Apartment Type
- Stand-alone VDSL
- As the device on the opposite end of multi-unit VDSL, it is connected to the telephone line in each apartment. The maximum transmission speed of stand-alone VDSL is 100 Mbps.
