Service Quality
  • FLET'S Hikari Next is an FTTH access service (fiber optic internet connection) that provides a maximum communication speed of up to 100Mbps, 200Mbps, or approximately 1Gbps.
  • Maximum 100Mbps, maximum 200Mbps and maximum approximate 1Gbps are the maximum speeds based on technical standards and do not indicate the actual connection speed within the user's home. 
  • The actual connection speed of an internet may be several Mbps depending on the user's internet usage environment and usage conditions.
  • The actual speed may not increase even when changing to a faster standard speed type depending on the usage environment and other factors.

Regarding the
initial cancellation
system
  • FLET'S Hikari Next is a service eligible for the initial cancellation system.
  • After applying for FLET'S Hikari Next, the user may terminate their contract early by informing us in writing within 8 days of receiving ”Notification of the Commencement of Service.”

【Points to Note When Terminating Early】
  • In principle, the user shall be charged for the fees related to the installation work performed to provide the service and any usage fees incurred up to the date of termination.
  • Please note that it may take some time to restore the original usage status, or your phone number, customer ID, etc. may be changed if you terminate your contract early.

  • For more information and methods for the initial cancellation system, please refer to the "Notification of the Commencement of Service" or the "Information About the initial cancellation system" page on the FLET'S official website.

Contract Changes
  • If any of the discount service, such as "Hikari Hajime Wari","Hikari Motto Motto Wari",or"Web Hikari Motto Motto Wari" is applied to the user's FLET'S Hikari Next contract and the user cancel the contract for their own reasons, the user is required to pay a cancellation fee.
  • New applications for "Hikari Motto Motto Wari" and "Web Hikari Motto Motto Wari" are no longer accepted as of April 30, 2018.
  • 【Cancellation Fee Exemption Period】
    Users who wish to cancel their contract in the month which the discount expires, or within the following two months are exempt from the cancellation fee.
  • 【Cancellation of "Hikari Hajime Wari" Plan】
    If the user does not request cancellation, the contract shall be automatically extended every two years.
  • 【Cancellation Fee for the "Hikari Hajime Wari" Plan】
    If the user cancels their FLET'S Hikari service for their own reasons during the usage period outside the cancellation fee exemption period, the user is required to pay a cancellation fee of up to 4,400 yen.
  • 【Cancellation of the "Hikari Motto Motto Wari" and "Web Hikari Motto Motto Wari"】
    If the user does not request cancellation, the contract shall be automatically extended every three years.
  • 【Cancellation Fee for the "Hikari Motto Motto Wari" and "Web Hikari Motto Motto Wari"】
    If the user cancels their FLET'S Hikari service for their own reasons during the usage period outside the cancellation fee exemption period, the user is required to pay a cancellation fee of up to 33,000 yen.
Other Restrictions
on Use  
【Common Information】
  • Even if the user's area is within the service area, there may be cases where the user is required to wait for service or may not be able to use the service due to the condition of the facilities or other reasons.
  • If existing equipment in the user's residential building cannot be used, we may ask the user to supply new fixtures or we may perform the necessary construction work for an additional fee.
  • The user is responsible for preparing all LAN cables, LAN cards (NIC), etc. required to connect their devices to the internet.
  • To use the internet, the user is required to sign a contract with an internet service provider that supports FLET'S Hikari Next and pay the usage fees. Please contact internet service providers directly for information regarding usage fees, etc.
  • "FLET'S Hikari Next" allows you to choose the provider you want to connect to by subscribing to multiple providers. The maximum number of PPPoE sessions (providers, etc.) that can be connected simultaneously is 2 sessions.
  • Users may not be able to select and use multiple sessions (multiple providers, etc.) that are connected at the same time, depending on their usage patterns. Additionally, users may not be able to connect to multiple providers or to the same provider for multiple sessions. 
  • NTT West shall not be liable for any failure or malfunction of the computer (including hardware and software, and any hardware or software installed on those connected devices) caused by the software in the process of installing or using the software necessary for the use of "FLET'S Hikari Next" on the computer or as a result thereof. This does not apply in cases where the cause is due to gross negligence by NTT West.
  • In the case that the user does not fulfil their contractual obligations, such as failure to pay usage fees while using the FLET'S Hikari Next service, the contract may be cancelled immediately without a temporary suspension period.
  • Customer ID and access key are unique information of each users. Care should be taken when managing this information. In the unlikely event that these details are leaked or stolen due to customer negligence and damages are incurred, NTT West shall not be responsible for any damages.
  • Please note that your service may be temporarily interrupted due to construction work by our company, such as the installation of additional facilities. In the case of temporary suspensions of service, NTT West shall notify users via email and the NTT West official website. shall notify users via email and the NTT West official website.

【When Using this Service in Apartment Complexes】
  • The form (fiber optic cable type, VDSL type, LAN type) of the internet connection provided varies depending on the equipment installed in the apartment complex.
  • When using VDSL cable type in-home devices overlapping with phone lines, etc., some services may not be available. In addition, when using a VDSL type connection, depending on the wiring distance of the premises facilities or the condition of the facilities, the internet speed may slow down significantly or fluctuate, code errors may occur, or the service may be completely unavailable.
  • FLET'S Hikari Next Mansion Super High Speed Type Hayabusa/High Speed Type is only available using the fiber optic cable type method.

【When Changing Plans】
  • Please note the following points when cancelling the previous service and changing to a new service.
    • Please refer to the NTT West FLET'S official website for information regarding initial costs (installation fees, contract fees, etc.).

    • The user may need to notify their contracted internet service provider about the change as the Customer ID and access key will also be changed.
    • Any currently subscribed optional services will also be cancelled. Please reapply for the relevant optional services when you change to a new service, such as FLET'S Hikari Next.
    • If the user wishes to continue using rental equipment after changing services, we may provide the user with new equipment in their factory-shipped condition.
  • Please note that the following points may apply depending on the contents of the application when users change plans from "FLET'S Hikari Next", "FLET'S Hikari Light" (both are FTTH Access Service), "Hikari Denwa Next" (IP phone service) to "FLET'S Hikari Cross" (FTTH Access Service)or from "FLET'S Hikari Cross" to "FLET'S Hikari Next" or "Hikari Denwa Next".
    • Due to necessary installation for changing plans, our services will be unavailable during the following time period.
      For Dispatch Installation: From around 5:00 am on the day of the installation work until the completion of the work.
      For Non-Dispatch Installation: From 5:00 am -7:30 am on the day of installation work and until the user replaces the ONU, etc.
    • In the case that installation cannot be completed due to user's absence on the day of installation or equipment failure, etc., the service will promptly be switched back to the previous service. However, please note that the service will not be available for about 2 hours.
      • It is expected to be approximately 2 hours, however the time required will vary depending on the situation.
    • If the user cancels their application or changes the installation date on the day before or two days before the originally scheduled installation date, we may not be able to complete the processing of the change within our company in time and services may become temporarily unavailable on the originally scheduled installation date.

    • Additional charges shall be incurred for installations on Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, after hours, late at night, during the year-end and New Year holidays, and for installation on specified time.     • If existing equipment in the user's residential building cannot be used, we may ask the user to supply new fixtures or perform the necessary construction work for an additional fee.
    • Please note that it is not possible to change from lump sum payment to installments or from installments to lump sum payment after installation has been completed. When selecting installments, it is possible to pay the remaining balance in a lump sum during the payment period.
    • Users who selected to pay by installments as their payment method for the installation fees and are transferring to the Collaboration  Hikari service, please contact each relevant business to discuss the payment of remaining costs.
    • If the user cancels their FLET'S Hikari contract while paying for installation fee by installments, the user shall be required to pay the full remaining amount in a lump sum.

【Discount Details】

For users who are currently subscribed to FLET'S・ADSL or FLET'S・ISDN or INS Net, and agree to cancel current subscription (the above three services) within one year of the FLET'S Hikari Next's implementation date, a discount on installation fees for FLET'S Hikari Next will be offered.
  • If it is confirmed that the user does not intend to cancel the service (FLET'S・ADSL, FLET'S・ISDN, and INS Net) the user is subscribing after the discount was applied on the installation fees, the user shall be charged for the full installation fees to which the discount was applied to.

    Other installation fees may be required separately.

  • Equipment not owned by our company will not be included in the charges. 
Other Points to Note
  • Functions Equivalent to FLET'S・v6option
    Users who have applied for FLET'S Hikari Next Family Super High Speed Type Hayabusa/Mansion Super High Speed Type Hayabusa* will be provided with the functions equivalent to the FLET'S v6 Option ready to be used, even if they do not use the internet (IPv6 IPoE) connection method.     • FLET'S Hikari Next users who are subscribed to FLET'S TV Building Package Contract Plan are not eligible for this service.
  • Applying for FLET'S v6 Option via Provider
    If the customer agrees that the provider can apply for FLET'S v6 Option on behalf of the customer, the relevant provider may apply for FLET'S v6 Option on behalf of the customer. Please contact the relevant provider for details regarding the application via provider.
  • About Repairs
    For repairs, the hours are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.For nighttime service, a contract for the 24-Hour Dispatched Mainntenance Option (charged) is required in advance.
