What is "Home Gateway Wireless LAN Card" ?
This Wi-Fi service can be used simply by inserting in and setting up an NTT West router (Home Gateway).*
This is a rental service (with charge), so you can enjoy Wi-Fi without having to buy a commercial router.
Save on your smartphone data!
You can also enjoy watching videos and making online calls.

- To use "Home Gateway Wireless LAN Card", you need to have a contract and pay for "Hikari Denwa" , "FLET'S Hikari" (excluding "FLET'S Hikari Cross") or some "Collaboration Hikari". If you do not use "Hikari Denwa", you can sign up for "Home Gateway" (with rental charge) and use the service.
- "FLET'S Hikari Cross" is not included in the service. Please use FLET'S Hikari Cross compatible rental router.
- IEEE802.11a/b/g/n/ac compliant devices are required. IEEE802.11a/ac is not available on some devices.

New applications for Hikari Hajime Wari (Discount Service) were closed on October 31, 2024. For customers with Hikari Hajime Wari contracts, these services will end in sequence beginning with customers whose contracts conclude in February, 2025. New applications for “Hikari Hajime Wari Next” (Discount Service) are being accepted from November 1, 2024.

About monthly rental fee for "Home Gateway"
- There is a low-price plan (monthly rental fee ¥275 (cancellation fee applies)) and a standard plan (monthly rental fee ¥495 (no cancellation fee)).
- For low-price plans, if you cancel by the end of the 24th month from the first month of use, you will be charged a cancellation fee of ¥2,200.
- However, if you cancel your contract for "FLET'S Hikari" and "Collaboration Hikari", or if you switch from "FLET'S Hikari" to "Collaboration Hikari" and simultaneously cancel your "Home Gateway (rental)" contract, or if you sign up for "Hikari Denwa", "Hikari Denwa Office Type", or "Hikari Denwa Office A (ACE)" at the same time as you cancel "Home Gateway (rental)", this cancellation fee will not apply.

About "Hikari Hajime Wari Next"
Application is required for this discount.
If you cancel by the end of the 24th month from the first month of use, you will be required to pay a cancellation fee (up to ¥4,400). However, if you cancel on the last day of the 24th month, no cancellation fee will be charged.
From the 3rd year onwards, the monthly usage fee will be the regular fee without applying any discount services.

About "Hikari Hajimewari Next"- Internet Service Provider (ISP) usage fees are not eligible for discounts.
- For customers with Hikari Denwa contracts, in addition to the monthly usage fee, a universal service fee for phone services and a telephone relay service fee are required for each telephone number (the same applies to additional numbers (optional)).

If you are newly applying for "FLET'S Hikari" or "Home Gateway (rental)", a contract fee and installation fee will be required respectively.

- To use this service, a compatible "Home Gateway" (rental fee ) is required, which can be applied for at the same time.
- The line termination unit (ONU) and "Home Gateway" (with rental fee) are separate devices.
- This service is not available to those who have contracted for "Hikari Denwa Office Type" or "Hikari Denwa Office A (ACE)."
